MSc Integrated Climate System Sciences

  • Physics of the climate system;
  • Biogeochemistry of the climate system;
  • Economics and Social Sciences.

 

Program structure
After an orientation unit, the key components and processes of the climate system will be studied in compulsory courses (30 CP). Some specialization is already possible during the first semester. In the second and third semester, students have the opportunity to focus on their specialization (60 CP). The last semester is devoted to the MSc thesis (30 CP).

Professional perspectives

The Master’s Degree in Integrated Climate System Sciences qualifies for a profession in administration or in commercial enterprises dealing with climate system issues. Furthermore, it will prepare you for a professional career in climate system sciences, starting with a doctorate / PhD program.

 

Application requirements and start

Good skills in mathematics and physics and a BSc or BA degree in a subject related to Climate System Sciences such as Meteorology, Oceanography, Geophysics, Geology, or the Environmental Sciences are required. All students whose first language is not English will need to satisfy English language requirements. Your application must include a letter of motivation. All applications are considered individually on merit. The class size is limited to aproximately 20 students.
